Finding Your Own Natural Recipes for Skin Care

You’re probably tired of going to the pharmacy and finding aisles of overpriced skin care products.  If so, you should get serious about looking for some natural recipes for skin care.  They can be cheap and effective and can even lead to some moneymaking opportunities if you stumble across something that people might be interested in purchasing from you.

Lifestyle Recipes

Natural recipes for skin care do not need to be confined to things that you can mix together in a bowl and apply to your skin.  Many of the best skin care practices are just the result of tweaking your everyday life by becoming more educated and aware of the skin care differences you can make through good habits.

Two natural recipes for skin care that can be developed through good habits are exfoliation and a healthy diet.  Exfoliation can be done with a dry brush, which should just be lightly rubbed on the skin after waking up.  This removes dry skin cells from the skin and makes for cleaner skin.  A healthy diet is also a key to healthy skin.  Plenty of water, plenty of fiber, avoiding inordinate amounts of sugar, and maintaining a good balance of healthy fats are all important to good skin care.

Recipe Ingredients

While good habits will go a long way towards giving you healthy skin, there are some more traditional natural recipes for skin care.  Most can be used for basic elements of skin care like moisturizing and reducing the amount of oil on your skin.  While a number of these recipes can be found on the internet or in books, there are a few that seem to work best for the highest percentage of people.

For oily skin, avocado can be a great active ingredient.  Put the mashed pulp of an avocado, an egg white, and a dash of citrus juice (probably lemon or lime) into the blender and mix.  The result will be a thick, green, muddy substance.  After washing, apply a layer to the face and neck and let it sit for 20 minutes.  The result should make your skin less oily for 48-72 hours.

There are even more natural recipes for skin care when it comes to moisturizing.  One great one is to put pure honey on your skin and then create a sauna environment before washing it off.  You can also take the avocado peel that you just used to remove oil from your skin and gently wipe it on your face.  Then wash it off by splashing your face with cold water.  There are hundreds of natural recipes for skin care out there.  They are all cheaper and much more effective than the products you can buy in the store.  Don’t be afraid to try some!
